DILG IV-A Conducts CBMS TOT
Due to the overwhelming demand of Local Government Units on Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) under BUB and its regular implementation, the Department of the Interior and Local Government IV-A deemed it necessary to conduct series of trainings for the new set of CBMS Trainers.
Participants of the training will bolster the existing pool of CBMS trainers from the Regional and Provincial Offices. The training was held in preparation for the implementation of BUB-CBMS 2016 wherein additional 19 LGUs will implement the program. As of press time, there are nine (9) CBMS Accredited Trainers in DILG Region IV-A.
The first leg – Module 1 – of the 2 trainings was held on June 6-10, 2016 at Emiramona Garden Hotel, Tagaytay City. It was participated by a total of 40 participants from the Regional, Provincial and Field Offices of DILG IV-A. Moreover, representatives from the Provincial Planning and Development Offices (PPDO) of the Provinces of Cavite, Quezon and Rizal attended the training.
CBMS Module 2 or the Poverty Mapping training was held on July 19-22, 2016 at Emiramona Garden Hotel, Tagaytay City. Participants from the previous training attended the Poverty Mapping training. They were trained how to illustrate the data gathered from the census and put it into a map. Creating Structured Query Language (SQL) which is essential in the analysis of the data to help in the creation and implementation programs and projects that will specifically address to the needs of the households.
The participants from both trainings were then scheduled and will be deployed to the succeeding conduct of CBMS Module 1 and Module 2 Trainings in CALABARZON Region.
