Comprehensive Local Integration Program: Awarding of Cash Assistance to Former Rebels
May 25, 2016, the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) Committee composed of DILG Quezon, Quezon Provincial Social Welfare Office, Arm Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 201st Brigade, Quezon PNP, and Quezon Social Action Center (SAC) led the distribution of Cash Assistance to seven (7) Former Rebels (FRs) in the Province of Quezon. The activity was held at 85th Infantry Battallion Command Base Brgys.Villa Principe, Gumaca, Quezon. Col. Georgie G. Domingo of the 85TH Infantry Battalion welcomed the guest, beneficiaries and members of the committee. It was followed by a message from PDQPPO Eugene B. Paguirigan, Provincial Director - PNP Quezon, he hopes that the assistance given to beneficiaries will help them to improve their lives. Ms. Sonia Leyson, PSWDO, explained that CLIP has been a long running program of the national government, and that the name changes but the objective is still the same and that is to help our returning brothers. The activity then proceeded with the distribution of checks to former rebels; each beneficiary received an immediate and livelihood assistance amounting to P65,000.00. Engr. Vilma B. De Torres, OIC – Provincial Director DILG Quezon 2 closed the program with a message encouraging the beneficiaries to properly utilize said fund for their livelihood.
