CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! DILG IV-A to undertake the #Pagyanig Challenge
The National Disaster Risk Reduction on Management Council (NDRRMC) constantly appeals to everyone to prepare for the "Big One" known as the earthquake that might occur once the West Valley Fault moves and even for the “small ones”. With this, earthquake drills are regularly conducted in workplaces, schools, and even in homes.
This quarter’s National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) which is set on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, the NDRRMC further expanded the massive information and education campaign and will involve more stakeholders. Dubbed as #Pagyanig Challenge, various government agencies, local government units (LGU), private companies and individuals are enjoined to post a video saying: “I accept the #Pagyanig challenge” or a photo with the fan sign "I accept the #Pagyanig challenge" and on June 22, to share their earthquake drill experience by posting your photo or video on social media doing "Duck, Cover, Hold with#Pagyanig hashtag".
As Vice Chair for Disaster Preparedness, DILG IV-A accepts the #Pagyanig challenge and enjoins everyone to promote a culture of doing the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" for earthquake preparedness and make it a way of life.
