The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirms that, as of 5:35 PM on January 20, 2026, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has received into its custody four (4) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in connection with the flood control anomaly: Brice Ericson Diaz Hernandez, Jaypee De Leon Mendoza, Arjay Salvador Domasig and Juanito Coronel Mendoza.

The commitment of the said individuals was carried out by virtue of a Commitment Order issued by the Sandiganbayan Third Division, in connection with the case involving Malversation of Public Funds through Falsification of Public Documents.

The DILG assures the public that all committed PDLs are currently undergoing standard booking and processing procedures and are being detained in strict compliance with existing laws, rules, and standard operating procedures of the BJMP.

The Department reiterates its commitment to upholding the rule of law, transparency, and accountability, and affirms that all persons under BJMP custody are treated in accordance with legal and institutional safeguards.
