DILG recognizes 36 outstanding partners in capacitating local government sector

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the Local Government Academy, recognized 36 exemplary individuals and institutions for their efforts in capacitating the local government sector.

“We recognize notable partners who have exemplified the most impactful results of these partnerships, those who produced the most significant change,” DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan said during the 9th Capacity Development Awards for Catalysts of Excellence (CapDev ACE) Accelerator Awards held Thursday.

The CapDev ACE Accelerator Awards acknowledges the significant contributions from partners and stakeholders in strengthening the capacities of the local government sector, thereby accelerating the DILG’s mission of achieving excellence in local governance.

Of the 36 awardees, 5 were hailed as CapDev Accelerator in Local Governance Awardees, 18 received the NextGen CapDev Accelerator in Local Governance Awards, and 5 bagged the CapDev Game Changer Awards.

Meanwhile, the DILG also recognized the contribution of 8 personnel and officials through the CapDev Awards for Catalyst of Excellence.

Among the awardees are DILG Undersecretary Odilon L. Pasaraba (Bagwis ng Paglilingkod sa Bayan); DILG – CAR Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose (Tatag ng Agila); Malapatan, Sarangani Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Maria Fritzie A. Español (Singsing ng Tanikala); Anthony O. Samar of DILG – National Capital Region (Dagitab ng Paglilingkod); and Ard C. Catalino of DILG-Region IX and DILG-Office of Project Development Services Division Chief Cheryl C. Agustin Flores (Dangal ng Kagawaran).

For the Team Category, DILG-Local Governance Regional Resource Center Region IX was presented with Ugnay ng Mamamayan award, while DILG-Pasig City was bestowed with the Bugkos ng Bayan.
