The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), together with the men and women of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), extends its gratitude to outgoing Fire Chief Louie S. Puracan as he embarks on his retirement after 34 years of service.

Today marks the culmination of his decades-long service to the BFP and the Filipino people. His staunch leadership has served as a key foundation in BFP’s realization of major achievements such as the implementation of the BFP Modernization Act.

I wish him happiness, good health, and peace with his family.
