Kahapon po ay dumalaw ako sa burol ng pinaslang na punong barangay ng Barangay Poblacion, Mangaldan, Pangasinan na si Melinda “Tonet” Morillo, at nagpaabot ng aking pakikiramay sa kanyang pamilya.

Walang puwang sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ang anumang uri ng karahasan tulad ng walang saysay na pagmamaslang kay Punong Barangay Tonet.

I am, therefore, offering a P500,000 reward for any information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the persons behind her murder.

While the police are investigating the incident, I am offering this reward to call on all Pangasinenses �and our fellow Filipinos to step forward and be instruments of justice.

Ang inyo pong pakikiisa ay maaring magiging daan tungo sa hustisya.

Your support is also a clear stand and statement against criminals that we will never condone these senseless killings in our country.

While this is an isolated incident, I remind other punong barangays and our local officials to promptly report to the local police any concerns regarding their safety.
