The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) welcomes the increase in vaccine confidence to 51% of adult Filipinos according to the latest survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The Department of the Interior and Local Government today has directed all Local Government Units to refrain from announcing the brand of vaccines to be used in a particular vaccination center following the recommendation of the Department of Health.
Following President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to supervise the transport and handling of COVID-19 vaccines, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has directed the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to work closely with the Department of Health and coordinate with local government units (LGUs) to ensure the speedy delivery of vaccines to the provinces.
With the continuous arrival of millions of COVID-19 vaccines in the country, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) today urged local government units (LGUs) to brace for more vaccine supplies and ramp up their vaccination efforts in order to reach 4 million jabs by end of next month.
