LGRC CALABARZON CLOSES 2024 WITH 4TH QUARTER MSAC MEETIN

MANUEL S. ENVERGA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION, LUCENA CITY QUEZON PROVINCE—On December 6, 2024, the Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) CALABARZON held its 4th Quarter Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee (MSAC) Meeting.

 

Hosted by Kitch Gogolin LGOO IV and Raymond Joseph Paraiso LGOO II, DILG IV-A Regional Office’s Assistant Regional Director Darrell I. Dizon CESO V delivered an opening message celebrating LGRRC CALABARZON’s recognition as a Top 5 Finalist for the LGRRC CapDev Ace Award and emphasizing MSAC as a platform for collaboration among stakeholders.  

 

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s Director of the Office of Scholarship, Endowment Jobs, Placement and Alumni Relations Maria Isabel Granada welcomed all attendees, expressing her support for sustainable development and more future collaborations. 

 

Managing Director Erica Cardoso from Evergreen Labs discussed an overview of their company and initiatives, followed by a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed to officially declare Evergreen Labs as a new MSAC partner, witnessed by Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) OIC-Chief Robinson G. Maac CESE, and Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) OIC-Chief Gilberto L. Tumamac LGOO VII. 

 

LGRC Focal Person Kitch Gogolin LGOO IV’s Presentation on 4th Quarter accomplishments included partnerships with UPLB and Evergreen Labs, leadership training by DLSU-Dasmariñas, and advancements in local governance initiatives. 

 

Recognition was given to MSAC partners, including PNP 4A,DENR IV-A, Philippine Coast Guard, BFP 4A, BJMP 4A, Dalubhasaan ng Lungsod ng Lucena, Maynilad Water Services Incorp., Manila Water Company Incorporated., and Office of Civil Defense CALABARZON for their dedication to advancing governance and public service in CALABARZON. Special citations were awarded to key contributors: DOST 4A, Cavite State University, DLSU Dasma, DAP-GSPDM, DICT 4A, ARTA Southern Luzon and Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. 

The event concluded with a call for further collaboration, including DLSU-D’s free barangay governance training and a donation drive for Batangas typhoon victims.
