The Department of the Interior and Local Government condemns, in the strongest terms, the unforgivable display of violence directed at our law enforcers from the Ampatuan Municipal Police Station last Tuesday, 30 August 2022.

The incident claimed the lives of Police Lieutenant Reynaldo Samson and Police Corporal Salipuden Talipasan Endab and left three other police officers wounded— Police Senior Master Sergeant Renante T. Quinalayo, Police Corporal Rogelio R. Dela Cuesta, Jr., and Police Corporal Marc Clint Varrona Dayaday.

We express our deepest grief and condole with the families of our fallen and wounded heroes, and wish to assure the bereaved and the entire nation that we will not rest until justice is served.

Gagawin ng Kagawaran at ng buong Pambansang Kapulisan ang lahat ng nararapat upang matugis ang sino mang nasa likod ng walang kapatawarang karahasang ito. Kaisa ang Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas, ang buong pamahalaan ng BARMM sa pangunguna ni Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim, at ang ating mga kababayan at gobyernong sibil mula sa Probinsya ng Maguindanao sa ilalim ng liderato ni Gov. Bai-Mariam Magundadatu, nakasisigurado akong mabibigyan ng hustisya ang mga nasawi at nasaktan at agad na mapananagot ang mga taong responsable sa naganap na insidente.
